Joanna Page's Wild Life Joanna treats some birds of prey as she purses her dream to become a wildlife rescue volunteer. Firstly, she learns how to hold ten-day-old, orphaned tawny owlets with rather sharp talons. Then, she moves on to her first attempt at medicating, giving an antibiotic tablet to a red kite. As a further test, she is sent to scruff an adult fox, who she releases in the urban area back where he was found.
Where the Polar Bears Wait In one town known as the polar bear capital of the world, melting sea ice spells transformation and danger. While scientists in Churchill, Manitoba, race to understand how to protect polar bears that are threatened by climate change, the town works to keep increasingly hungry bears away from its population. A story of human resilience and respect for nature on the edge of the Canadian Arctic.
